Flowers Foods Acquires Lepage Bakeries

Flowers Foods Inc. has completed the acquisition of Lepage Bakeries Inc. of Auburn, ME. For fiscal 2011, Lepage had sales of $166 million from its three bakeries in New England.

Flowers Foods expects to provide additional information about the acquisition during its second quarter earnings conference call on Aug. 14.
